This Wellbeing and Development workshop has been developed to promote the importance of early childhood educators upholding a strong sense of purpose and wellbeing. The workshop draws inspiration from the Early Years Learning Framework’s principles of ‘Belong Be Become’, and expands on them to support and empower educators to stay physically healthy, emotionally resilient, mentally focused and professionally inspired. Participants will learn how to curate a holistic wellbeing tool kit that supports them in upholding this.

The correlation between educator and child well-being.
Practical strategies to look after YOUR physical, spiritual and mental wellness, through restorative yoga and mindfulness practices.

Practices conducive to intentional teaching and ways to develop & enhance existing pedagogy.
About your facilitator:
Alana Evans has been working in the early childhood profession for over a decade and has since become a passionate advocate for educator wellbeing. Her business Belong Be Become facilitates NESA endorsed workshops on wellbeing and development for early childhood professionals. Her content and concept is inspired by current early childhood practices, the Waldorf Steiner theory of Anthroposophy and aspects of Yogic philosophy.
Alana strongly believes in the value of self development. Her passion lies in inspiring educators with ways to curate physical, mental/emotional and spiritual practices that are effective and sustainable. Her intention is to lead Australia’s educators toward developing, teaching and living to their potential.
